About the family

Lipsey Beef is a family effort through and through. William and Traci Lipsey, along with their children Preslee and Bryant, carry forward a tradition that began more than 50 years ago in Oakwood, Texas. What started as William’s responsibility at age 14 has grown into a way of life for the entire family. Preslee welcomes customers at the ranch store, Bryant prepares to step into his father’s boots, and Traci brings warmth and hospitality to every visitor. Together, they make sure every cut of beef reflects the same honesty and hard work that built the Lipsey name.

About the ranch

The Lipsey Ranch sits in the Keechi Creek bottom, where rolling pastures and open skies define the landscape. Established in 1968 by Ronald Lipsey, the land has been carefully expanded and managed with one rule in mind: respect the land, and it will take care of you. Travelers along Highway 79 often stop to admire the bold red Lipsey sign and the herds grazing across thousands of acres. For William, stewardship isn’t just good ranching—it’s a responsibility. The ranch is the foundation of our family’s livelihood and a living legacy that continues to grow with each generation.

About the cattle

Lipsey cattle are born, raised, and finished right here on the ranch. With over 1,200 mama cows and thousands of yearlings, the herd is managed with precision and care. Fertile grasslands, nourished naturally, provide the foundation, while carefully mixed grains finish the cattle without ever pulling them from pasture. It’s a balance of tradition and efficiency: moving cattle with a feed truck instead of a roundup, focusing on health and quality over numbers. For us, this work isn’t just production. It’s raising beef we are proud to feed our own family—and yours.
